I’m Lisa, the woman behind Wild Earth Alchemy
My work has grown from many years of exploring the relationship between our health, our bodies, the natural world and the different seasons of a woman’s life.
I’m a herbal practitioner, aromatherapist, yoga teacher, health and wellbeing coach and menopause coach, but increasingly I see these less as separate disciplines and more as different threads of the same work. I draw from them in different ways depending on the woman, the group, the season and what is being called for.
At the heart of my work is a belief that we are not separate from nature. Our bodies are cyclical. Our lives have seasons. We move through beginnings and endings, periods of growth and retreat, loss and renewal, and significant thresholds that can change how we understand ourselves and our place in the world.
I am particularly drawn to these thresholds in women’s lives — the crossing into maidenhood, the years of menopause and the emergence of the wise woman, and other times when an old identity or way of being no longer quite fits. I’m interested not only in how we manage these transitions, but in what they might be asking of us.
Plants and herbal medicine are an important part of my practice, alongside movement, rest, ritual, reflection, education and gathering in community. Sometimes the work is practical and health-focused. Sometimes it is about reconnecting with the body. Sometimes it is about creating space to listen, mark a transition, or remember something we have lost touch with.
Wild Earth Alchemy is the place where all of those threads now come together.
My work includes individual support, groups and gatherings, courses and resources, and the botanical preparations I create through Wild Earth Botanicals.
This work will continue to evolve, as I do. For now, Wild Earth Alchemy is an invitation to work with the wisdom of the body, the plants, the earth and the changing seasons of our lives — rather than always trying to push past them.
